Tennessee Football kicked off media day on Tuesday afternoon with head coach Josh Heupel followed by defensive coordinator Tim Banks and newly-appointed offensive coordinator Joey Halzle.
Heupel, the reigning 2022 AP SEC Coach of the Year, began the day with a 20-plus minute press conference detailing several aspects of the team heading into fall practice on Wednesday. The third-year Tennessee head coach spoke about newcomers on the team, several positions that will feature key battles this fall, and much more.
Following the departure of former offensive coordinator Alex Golesh last December, Heupel promoted quarterbacks coach Joey Halzle to assume the role of offensive coordinator in addition to his previous QB position.
