Half a dozen freshmen on the Tennessee football roster spoke to the media on Wednesday afternoon following the Vols’ first practice on the fall camp slate in the morning.

Four defensive linemen including Chandavian Bradley, Daevin Hobbs, Tyree Weathersby, and Trevor Duncan all spoke on Wednesday. Additionally, offensive lineman Ayden Bussell and running back Khalifa Keith also spoke from the offensive side of the ball.

Bradley, the first of the freshmen to speak, talked about quickly transitioning to the speed of the game after not being an early enrollee during bowl season last fall. Hobbs, who was an early enrollee with Tennessee, spoke about his excitement to return to the field after missing that time and the spring with an injury.

Weathersby spoke about Rodney Garner’s coaching style on and off the field while Duncan detailed what it was like to be back playing with his brother and teammate Cody Duncan (R-So. TE). Both Duncan brothers are from Knoxville.

Offensive lineman Ayden Bussell gave insight into weight trimming and staying consistent with a specific weight range when arriving on the team. Running back Khalifa Keith spoke about the physical style of play that he feels he can bring to the Vols’ running back room.
