VFL Jaden Springer put on a show recently at the popular Rico Hines Runs, a collection of summer pick-up games at UCLA’s campus featuring many NBA players.
A couple of days ago, Springer played alongside many of his 76er teammates against a team that included former Kansas star and National Champion Gradey Dick. Dick was also the Raptors’ lottery pick in the most recent NBA Draft.
There are multiple highlights of Dick guarding Springer in which the VFL won every possession.
The one that has made the most rounds is a video of Springer taking Dick’s ankles and sending the former Jayhawk to the floor.

It’s safe to say Springer looks as good as he’s ever looked heading into his third NBA season. So far, Springer has appeared in 18 total NBA games, with 16 of them coming last year.
The VFL has spent the majority of his professional career in the G-league, but this could be the season Springer makes a leap in his game.
