Seven teams from the Southeastern Conference land in the Week 5 AP Top 25 rankings.

This is the first time this season that seven teams from the SEC have landed in the Top 25 rankings with a five-team week and six-team weeks coming before.

Georgia continues to lead all teams as the No. 1 team in the nation and the only team from the SEC inside the Top 10. Alabama and LSU land back-to-back just outside of the Top 10 at No. 12 and No. 13, respectively.

The Bulldogs remained undefeated this past weekend after a 28-point victory over UAB at home. The Crimson Tide defeated then-No. 15 Ole Miss at home while the Tigers held on to a win at home against Arkansas. Both Alabama and LSU have one loss on the season.

A logjam of four straight SEC teams then starts the 20s: No. 20 Ole Miss, No. 21 Tennessee, No. 22 Florida, and No. 23 Missouri.

Ole Miss fell from No. 15 to No. 20 following their 14-point loss to the Tide while Tennessee jumped up two spots after a 45-14 victory against UTSA at home. Florida moved up three spots to No. 22 with a 15-point win over Charlotte while Missouri entered the Top 25 for the first time this season coming off of back-to-back wins against then-No. 15 Kansas State and Memphis.
