See Alabama-Tennessee Game Line As Kickoff Approaches

Tennessee football is just over 24 hours kicking off its rivalry matchup against Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa.

The Vols are currently 9.5-point underdogs against Alabama according to Caesars Sportsbook. The over/under is currently set at 47.5.

The betting line opened between 8.5 and 10 points on Sunday morning with nine points being the consensus. It briefly dropped to eight-points earlier in the week but has largely stayed steady at nine points over the course of the week.

Tennessee is 3-2 against the spread this season. The Vols are 2-1 against the spread in SEC games, failing to cover as favorites against Florida but doing so at home against South Carolina and Texas A&M. The over has hit in two Tennessee game this season, the under has hit thrice and it pushed once.

Alabama is 4-3 against the spread this season and 3-1 against the spread in SEC games. The Crimson Tide covered against Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Texas A&M but failed to cover against Arkansas. The over has hit in four Alabama games this season, the under has hit twice and it pushed once.

The Vols are looking for their fourth straight win after falling at Florida in mid-September. Tennessee needs the road victory to remain in the SEC East race ahead of its late November matchup against Georgia.

Alabama is looking for its sixth straight SEC win after falling to Texas at home in week two. The Crimson Tide are vulnerable this season but have steadily improved and currently sit in the SEC West driver’s seat.

Tennessee ended a 15-game losing streak in the series last season and headed to Alabama looking for its first win in Tuscaloosa since 2003.
