Tennessee football is wearing its traditional home uniforms with white helmets, orange jerseys and white pants for Saturday’s homecoming matchup against UConn. However, there is a twist. The Vols are wearing “Summitt Blue” accessories for the matchup.

Tennessee first wore “Summitt Blue” accessories a season ago in its homecoming matchup against UT-Martin. A season ago, the Vols wore them to honor Pat Summitt and the 50-year anniversary of Title IX. This season, Tennessee wears them again on homecoming but also against the Lady Vols basketball program’s biggest rival during Summitt’s tenure.

On the 2023 season, the Vols are 2-0 in their traditional home uniforms, 1-0 in their all orange uniforms, 1-0 in their smokey grey uniforms and 1-0 dark mode uniforms and are 1-2 in its all white uniforms.
