Tennessee’s 14-game home winning streak was snapped on Saturday afternoon in Knoxville as the Vols fell to the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs by a score of 38-10 in Neyland Stadium.
The Vols jumped on the scoreboard first thanks to a 75-yard touchdown run from Jaylen Wright on the opening play of the game but couldn’t muster the offense or defense needed to capitalize on that play. From that point out, it was all Georgia as the Bulldogs spent the rest of the day on a 38-3 run to close out the win on the road.
After the conclusion of the game, Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel met with the media to give his reaction to the game. Heupel spoke about the offensive inconsistencies, the mounting injuries that Tennessee is facing late in the year, needing to regroup before the regular season finale next weekend, and much more.
In addition to Heupel, Tennessee also had four players speak to the media to give their perspective of the game. The Vols’ four media players included quarterback Joe Milton III, running back Jaylen Wright, linebacker Aaron Beasley, and wide receiver Squirrel White.
