Tennessee stayed put in the latest and final College Football Playoff rankings, released by ESPN on Sunday afternoon.

The Vols remain at No. 21 in the rankings on Sunday.

Tennessee’s spot in the CFB Playoff rankings is the highest of their Week 15 rankings as the Vols landed at No. 23 in the Coaches Poll and No. 25 in the AP Top 25 poll.

Josh Heupel’s team will now wait just a little while longer to see where their bowl destination will be. The bowl selections are expected to come down sometime on Sunday afternoon/evening.

Tennessee finished with an overall record of 8-4 this season and a 4-4 record in conference play. The Vols found five wins in their first six games after losing to Florida in Gainesville in September. Two of those wins included home conference victories over South Carolina and Texas A&M in Knoxville.

Tennessee fell to Alabama in Tuscaloosa but bounced back with a big win on the road in Lexington against Kentucky the following week. The Vols closed the season with wins over UConn and Vanderbilt with losses to Missouri and Georgia.
