Tennessee football had a low drama opening day of the early signing period, signing all 20 prep commits and all four transfer commits in addition to a handful of walk ons.

Tennessee boasts 20 prep commitments and one junior college transfer. They include two five-stars, 11 four-stars and eight three-stars. The Vols’ recruiting class contains one quarterback, one running back, two receivers, one tight end, five offensive linemen, five defensive linemen, two linebackers, three defensive backs and one recruit classified as an “athlete”.

The Vols landed three-star California prep tight end Cole Harrison late on Tuesday night before the early signing period officially began. But that was the most excitement that the first day of the early signing period brought Tennessee’s prep recruiting.

But drama across the national did lead to Tennessee’s recruiting ranking changing a little bit compared to where it was entering the early signing period.

Most of the recruiting drama across the country played out on the first day of the early signing period and there isn’t expected to be much change moving forward. So where does the Vols’ recruiting class rank after the first day of the early signing period? Check it out here.
