At the time of this publication, there are less than 70 hours until Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel leads the No. 21 Volunteers into their third straight bowl game with a matchup against No. 17 Iowa in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl on New Year’s Day.

The Vols and the Hawkeyes will square off at 1:00 p.m. ET from Camping World Stadium.

Tennessee’s team has been in Orlando since the 26th, soaking up the sights and sounds of the city with practices and press conferences throughout the week. The Vols took a trip to Universal Studios in Orlando on Thursday after practice but got right back to work on Friday morning at the UCF practice facilities.

The big news of the week is that Tennessee will be starting freshman quarterback Nico Iamaleava in the game after veteran quarterback Joe Milton III opted out to focus on the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft. The Vols’ backfield will also look a little bit different after the NFL declarations from Jaylen Wright and Jabari Small this month. The Vols will rely on speedy sophomore Dylan Sampson and a pair of freshmen in Cam Seldon and Khalifa Keith when they take on a stout Iowa Hawkeyes defense in Orlando.

While the media is not permitted at practices this week in town, Tennessee Athletics did provide quick practice highlights from Friday morning. Check it out below.
