Tennessee signee Jordan Ross has the classic EDGE rusher build. A tall and lanky prospect who played defensive end and receiver in high school and will add weight in college and be exclusively an outside linebacker.

It’s the path a number of elite college pass rushers have followed with Tennessee sophomore James Pearce Jr. being the latest example. Ross certainly looked like Pearce on this play in Wednesday’s Under Armour All-American Game, coming off the edge and strip sacking the quarterback.

Check it out here.

Five different Tennessee signees competed in the high school All-American Game with Edrees Farooq’s Team Ice defeating Ross, Kaleb Beasley, Mike Matthews and Peyton Lewis’ Team Fire.

Ross was Tennessee’s second highest rated signee in the 2024 recruiting cycle, ranking as a five-star recruit and the No. 33 player in the country in the 247sports composite rankings. The Birmingham native also ranks as the No. 3 EDGE rusher  and the No. 5 in the state of Alabama in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

The blue-chip recruit signed with Tennessee during the early signing period last month and will arrive in Knoxville in the summer after graduating from Vestavia Hills this spring.
