What’s On Tap For Saturday SEC Basketball Action?

All 14 of the Southeastern Conference men’s basketball teams will be in action around the country on Saturday.

Auburn and Alabama lead the conference standings with a 5-1 SEC record with Tennessee closely behind at 4-1 in conference play. South Carolina, Kentucky, and Georgia follow behind with a 4-2 SEC record.

Florida will host Georgia in another chapter of their rivalry in the first game of the Saturday slate at 12:00 p.m. ET on ESPN 2. The Gators and the Bulldogs each have two losses in their last five contests but are looking to capitalize off of a win in their previous game.

South Carolina will host Missouri at 1:00 p.m. ET in the second game of the day on SEC Network. The Gamecocks, one of the big surprises of the conference this year, are looking to defend home court against a Missouri team that is still looking for their first SEC victory.

No. 8 Auburn is looking to get back in the win column with a game on the road against Mississippi State at 3:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network. The Tigers are coming off of a loss to Alabama in Tuscaloosa while the Bulldogs look to stop a three-out-of-four-game losing streak.

The SEC’s two highest-ranked teams will both be playing in the 6:00 p.m. ET time slot on Saturday.

No. 5 Tennessee will travel to Nashville to take on in-state rival Vanderbilt on the SEC Network. All eyes are on Tennessee scoring machine Dalton Knecht, who has scored 128 points over his last four games. Vanderbilt, meanwhile, is looking for their first conference win after starting out the SEC slate with five straight losses.

Arkansas, a disappointing team from the SEC this season, is looking to get back on track with an upset win over No. 6 Kentucky on Saturday evening in Fayetteville. The Wildcats were demolished by South Carolina in their last game while the Razorbacks have lost four out of their last five contests. The contest between Arkansas and Kentucky will be on ESPN.

Alabama turns to another rival this weekend after the Auburn game as the Crimson Tide welcome LSU to Coleman Coliseum. Alabama will look to build off their win over Auburn while LSU is struggling to find aa victory over two straight losses this past week. The Crimson Tide and the Tigers will square off at 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

And, lastly, Texas A&M will host Ole Miss in the Saturday night cap at 8:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network. Ole Miss has lost their last two road games while Texas A&M has won their last two games in Reed Arena.
