Tennessee basketball opened as 4.5-point favorites ahead of Wednesday night’s top 15 matchup against Auburn but the line quickly moved up to Tennessee -5.5 according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The over/under is set at 151.5.

It’s a must win game for Auburn’s SEC Championship hopes and while Tennessee could win the conference title without a victory against the Tigers, it would severely hurt its changes. Analytical based college basketball website KenPom projects Tennessee to earn a 76-73 victory over the Tigers.

Auburn has largely had Tennessee’s number in the series in recent seasons. The Vols have won two of the last three meeting between the teams in the last two seasons. But prior to that, Auburn was on a six-game winning streak.

More From RTI: Everything Rick Barnes Said Before Tennessee Basketball Hosts Auburn

The Vols enter the matchup winners of their last four games after a loss at Texas A&M earlier this month. Rick Barnes’ ninth Tennessee team has dominated in that stretch, winning its last four games by a combined 104 points. However, the Vols were double-digit favorites in all four games during their winning streak.

Now Tennessee hits the home stretch of its regular season with four straight games against top 25 opponents. The Vols are currently tied atop the SEC standing with Alabama and travel to Tuscaloosa to face the Crimson Tide on Saturday before concluding the regular season with a road game at South Carolina and a home game versus Kentucky.

Auburn has dropped two of its last five games. Florida blew out the Tigers in Gainesville three Saturdays ago and Auburn lost at home against Kentucky two Saturdays ago. After a midweek bye, the Tigers got back on track with a blowout win at Georgia on Saturday.

Tigers’ star forward Jaylin Williams is “questionable” for Wednesday’s game against Tennessee after suffering a knee injury in Auburn’s loss against Kentucky. Williams missed Saturday’s game against Georgia.

Tipoff between Auburn and Tennessee at Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center is at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday night. ESPN2 is broadcasting the game.
