Pacers vs. Celtics Game 3 odds, Best BetMGM Promotions
Indiana returns home needing a win after dropping the first two games in Boston.
The Pacers easily could’ve won Tuesday night’s opener. But Boston’s Jaylen Brown hit a desperation, game-tying 3-pointer with 6 seconds remaining in regulation, and then the Celtics outscored the visitors 16-11 in overtime for a 133-128 victory.
In Game 2 Thursday night, Brown matched his career playoff high with 40 points as Boston cruised to 126-110 win and a 2-0 series lead.
Forward Jayson Tatum and guard Derrick White added 23 points apiece for the Celtics, who improved to 10-2 this postseason.
Forward Pascal Siakam paced the Pacers with 28 points Thursday, but guard Tyrese Haliburton was limited to 10 points and eight assists before leaving late in the third quarter with what was later reported to be hamstring soreness in his left leg.
His status will almost assuredly be at least questionable for Game 3.
Haliburton’s injury aside, defense continues to be an issue for the Pacers, who have allowed an average of 118.4 points over their last five games. Overall, Indiana has surrendered 100-plus points in 13 of its 15 outings this postseason.
