Tennessee baseball was the top-seed in this year’s NCAA Tournament and they looked like the nation’s top team during regional weekend, sweeping through the field with three wins by a combined 22 runs.

The oddsmakers in the desert see thing the same way. Entering super regional weekend, Tennessee is the betting favorite to win the College World Series according to Bet MGM.

Tony Vitello’s seventh Tennessee team currently has +250 odds to win the National Championship, coming in slightly ahead of Texas A&M (+350) in odds. After Texas A&M there’s a massive drop off in odds to North Carolina and Kentucky at +800.

A SEC team has won four straight National Championships dating back to Oregon State in 2018. The co-SEC Regular Season and SEC Tournament Champion Volunteers look best positioned to continue that streak.

There’s five SEC teams remaining in the 16-team field including Florida and Georgia in addition to the Vols, Aggies and Wildcats. Tennessee and Texas A&M have had similar National Championship odds over the last month but after the opening weekend of the NCAA Tournament, the Vols have moved ahead.

More From RTI: Why Tennessee Baseball Isn’t Hosting A Watch Party For The Super Regional

Vitello’s program is back in the super regionals for the fourth straight season and is looking to advance to the College World series for the third time in four years. Tennessee is hosting Evansville to Lindsey Nelson Stadium this weekend for the Knoxville Super Regional.

Evansville is the Cinderella story of the NCAA Tournament to date. A four-seed, the Purple Aces won the Greenville Regional by winning two out of three games against East Carolina as well as a critical win over VCU in the middle. Evansville has the worst odds (+12500) to win the National Championship of any team remaining, coming in right behind UConn (+10000)

First pitch for game one of the weekend series is at 3 p.m. ET on Friday. ESPN2 is broadcasting the series opener.
