NFL odds Week 9: 13 games on tap Sunday
Following is the complete NFL Week 9 schedule, with kickoff times, mid-week sportsbook consensus point spreads and totals and a quick glance at each of the 15 contests, beginning with …
Houston Texans at New York Jets (-1.5, 42), 8:15 p.m. ET Thursday (Amazon Prime Video)
Aaron Rodgers and the Jets (2-6) are in a tailspin, having dropped five straight since a 2-1 start, but they’re still slight Halloween night home favorites against C.J. Stroud and the AFC South-leading Texans (6-2).
Washington Commanders (-3.5, 43.5) at New York Giants, 1 p.m. Sunday
The Giants (2-6) have beaten Washington (6-2) in eight of the last 11 meetings, but the host Commanders won 21-18 in Week 2 on the strength of seven field goals.
Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills (-6, 50), 1 p.m. Sunday
The Bills (6-2) have gotten the best of the Dolphins (2-5) in 12 of 14 games since QB Josh Allen was drafted in 2018, including a 31-10 romp in South Beach in Week 2.
Los Angeles Chargers (-2, 42) at Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m. Sunday
Jameis Winston threw for 334 yards and three TDs to lead the Browns (2-6) to a 29-24 upset win over the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday, but coach Jim Harbaugh’s Bolts (4-3) figure to provide a tougher defensive test as they lead the league with an average of 13 points allowed per game.
Denver Broncos at Baltimore Ravens (-9.5, 45.5), 1 p.m. Sunday
An intriguing matchup between two 5-3 AFC foes pitting MVP-favorite Lamar Jackson and the Ravens’ high-scoring offense (30.3 points per game) against improving rookie QB Bo Nix and the Broncos’ stout defense (15 ppg).
Las Vegas Raiders at Cincinnati Bengals (-7.5, 46.5), 1 p.m. Sunday
Joe Burrow and the Bengals (3-5) are still looking for their first win at home (0-4), and Week 9 provides a golden opportunity with Gardner Minshew and the 2-6 Raiders bringing a four-game losing streak to Cincy.
New Orleans Saints (-7, 43.5) at Carolina Panthers, 1 p.m. Sunday
QB Derek Carr should be back for the skidding Saints (2-6) who have beaten the Panthers (1-7) three straight times, including a 47-10 thrashing in Week 1.
New England Patriots at Tennessee Titans (-3.5, 38), 1 p.m. Sunday
The Pats (2-6) visit the Titans (1-6) in a matchup of AFC bottom feeders, and Tennessee is favored by more than a field goal despite a league-worst minus-13 turnover differential.
Dallas Cowboys at Atlanta Falcons (-2.5, 52), 1 p.m. Sunday
Only the Panthers (33.9) are allowing more points per outing than the 3-4 Cowboys (28.3), and Dallas faces another test this Sunday in Kirk Cousins and the Falcons (5-3), who are averaging 24.3 points per game.
Chicago Bears at Arizona Cardinals (-1, 44.5), 4:05 p.m. Sunday
Kyler Murray and the Cards (4-4) have won three of their last four after a 1-3 start, and rookie QB Caleb Williams and the Bears (4-3) will be trying to bounce back from last Sunday’s crushing 18-15 loss to the Commanders on a final play Hail Mary TD.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Philadelphia Eagles (-7.5, 45.5), 4:05 p.m. Sunday
Philly (5-2) has won three straight — all against losing teams — and they’ll try to make it four straight Sunday against former coach Doug Pederson and the 2-6 Jaguars.
Detroit Lions (-3.5, 48) at Green Bay Packers, 4:25 p.m. Sunday
The sizzling Lions (6-1) take the league’s best point differential (+100) on the road to the not-yet-frozen tundra of Green Bay where the 6-2 Packers may be without starting QB Jordan Love, who suffered a groin injury last Sunday.
Los Angeles Rams (-1.5, 48.5) at Seattle Seahawks, 4:25 p.m. Sunday
The NFC West is a true logjam with the 3-4 Rams trailing the 4-4 Seahawks, 49ers and Cardinals by only a half-game.
Indianapolis Colts at Minnesota Vikings (-5, 46), 8:20 p.m. Sunday (NBC, Peacock)
Veteran Joe Flacco is back at helm for the Colts (4-4, league-best 6-1 ATS) who visit the 5-2 Vikings, losers of two straight after a 5-0 start.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Kansas City Chiefs (-9, 45.5), 8:15 p.m. Monday (ABC, ESPN)
Baker Mayfield and the Bucs (4-4) are the latest to take aim at Patrick Mahomes and the undefeated, two-time defending Super Bowl-champion Chiefs (7-0), who have won 13 straight since a Christmas Day home loss to the Raiders last season.
