No. 18 Tennessee snapped a three-game losing streak on Sunday afternoon with a 76-71 victory over Missouri in Columbia.
The Tigers jumped out to a big lead in the first quarter but the Lady Vols fought back in the second frame to tie the game at 33-33.
Tennessee and Missouri battled it out in the third quarter but the Lady Vols were able to establish a lead before the fourth quarter and hold onto it through the final whistle.
The Lady Vols moved to 16-5 on the season with four of their five losses coming to teams ranked in the Top 10. Tennessee now faces two more Top 10 games as the Lady Vols will host No. 6 UConn on Thursday before traveling to No. 7 LSU next Sunday.
After the Lady Vols’ win over the Tigers, Tennessee head coach Kim Caldwell met with the media to discuss her reaction to the game. Tennessee forward Jillian Hollingshead (7 points, 6 rebounds) was next to Caldwell but was not asked any questions from the media in Columbia.
