Kentucky starter Jaxson Robinson is listed as “out” for the Wildcats’ Tuesday night matchup against No. 5 Tennessee at Rupp Arena according to the SEC Availability Report.

Robinson suffered a wrist injury in the Wildcats’ 80-57 win over South Carolina on Saturday afternoon in Lexington. The 6-foot-6 shooting guard has started every game this season for the Wildcats.

On his weekly radio show Monday night, Kentucky head coach Mark Pope said he is not expecting Robinson to play.

The BYU transfer ranks third on Kentucky averaging 13.3 points per game to go along with 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. Robinson is a strong three-point shooter, knocking down 38% of his attempts from beyond the arc this season.

Robinson was playing at an incredibly high level before suffering the wrist injury. He scored 17 points in the Wildcats win in Knoxville two weeks ago and followed it up with a 20-point performance against Arkansas and an 18-point performance against Ole Miss.

While Robinson is one of Kentucky’s top players, the Wildcats strength is in numbers. They won in Knoxville two weeks ago without starting point guard Lamont Butler and with starting forward Andrew Carr playing limited minutes.

Tennessee has won three straight games since the first meeting between the two teams while Kentucky has dropped two of its last three.

The Vols are one-point favorites over Kentucky according to the DraftKings Sportsbook with the over/under set at 148.5. KenPom predicts Tennessee to earn a 74-72 victory.
