Just a few hours removed from losing to Florida in the SEC Tournament championship, the Tennessee Volunteers officially found out their NCAA Tournament seeding from the team hotel in Nashville after the game.
Rick Barnes’ Volunteers will be the 2-seed in the Midwest Region and will take on 15-seed Wofford in the opening game. The big interesting note of Tennessee’s path is that either Kentucky or Illinois, two previous opponents this season, could very well end up in the Vols’ path in the Sweet 16.
