Four-Star Lineman Includes Tennessee In Top Four, Announces Commitment Date

Four-star offensive lineman Leo Delaney released his top four including Clemson, Michigan, Penn State and Tennessee on Tuesday morning. Delaney will announce his college commitment on July 11 according to On3’s Chad Simmons.

Delaney ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 133 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. He also ranks as the No. 8 interior offensive lineman and the No. 8 player in the state of North Carolina in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

A Charlotte native, Delaney plays his high school football at the Providence Day School. Tennessee freshman offensive tackle, and former five-star, David Sanders graduated from the Providence Day School back in the winter. Former Tennessee basketball star Grant Williams also graduated from PDS.

Delaney has official visits scheduled to all four of his finalists before announcing his commitment in July. The blue-chip lineman will visit Tennessee last giving the Vols a chance to make the final impression.

To this point, Delaney has taken three visits to Tennessee. He visited in the fall for the Kent State and the Alabama games and then returned in March during spring practice. Delaney has also taken three visits to Clemson with both Michigan and Penn State lagging behind in that department.

Josh Heupel and his staff have had a lot of success recruiting the state of North Carolina during their time in Knoxville. The Vols have landed top recruits James Pearce, Daevin Hobbs, Isaiah Campbell and Sanders. Tennessee’s top rated recruit in the 2026 recruiting class is five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon from Greensboro.

Tennessee football’s 2025 recruiting class currently contains seven commitments including from one offensive linemen in Chattanooga’s Gabriel Osenda. The Vols’ seven-commit recruiting class ranks No. 24 nationally and No. 5 in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings.
