Tennessee football commit Gabriel Osenda jumped up the recruiting rankings in the latest update from 247Sports on Wednesday.

247Sports now has the 2026 offensive tackle as a five-star prospect, the No. 19 player in the class, the No. 4 offensive tackle, and the No. 2 player from the Volunteer State.

Osenda was previously listed as a four-star prospect and the No. 70 overall prospect in 247’s rankings on Mar. 7, 2025, but was listed as low as No. 407 overall before the March update. It’s clear to see that analysts and scouts alike are starting to lock in on Osenda’s impressive abilities at the tackle position, and he’s been rewarded for that with his coveted fifth star.

Osenda, a product of Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN, is a 6-foot-7, 330-pound offensive tackle in the 2026 class. He chose Tennessee in mid-January over Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Minnesota. Osenda revealed his commitment by putting on the orange UT cap at the Navy All-American Bowl in San Antonio.

247 Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins tagged Osenda as a “potential multi-year starting right tackle at the Power Four level” in an evaluation back in January.

“Gigantic human that’s built to play in a zone attack with his initial slide quickness and downhill force,” Ivins wrote of Osenda. “Grew up in Canada and relocated to the United States as a teenager. Initially billed himself as more of a defensive lineman before buying into the idea of being a full-time offensive lineman. Not a natural bender, which can put him in some comparable positions, but is the type of big body that can center up.”

Osenda is now the second five-star commit that Tennessee has landed in the 2026 class, alongside quarterback Faizon Brandon.

Brandon is still ranked as 247’s No. 1 overall prospect in the 2026 class ahead of Maryland EDGE commit Zion Elee and Houston quarterback commit Keisean Henderson.

According to 247’s rankings (not the composite rankings), Tennessee has seven total commits with two five-stars and five three-stars. Josh Heupel’s 2026 class currently consists of QB Faizon Brandon, OT Gabriel Osenda, WR Tyreek King, TE Carson Sneed, EDGE CJ Edwards, WR Tyran Evans, and LB Braylon Outlaw.

Osenda is set to return to Knoxville for an official visit on June 20.
