The schedule is set for Tennessee baseball’s super regional matchup against Arkansas in Fayetteville next weekend.

The series begins on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET with ESPN broadcasting the game. Game two is at 3 p.m. ET Sunday with ESPN broadcasting the game. Game three, if needed, will be on Monday.

It’s Tennessee’s second trip to Fayetteville in the last three weeks. The Vols dropped a three-game series at Baum-Walker Stadium the final weekend of the regular season. Tennessee took game one of the series 10-7 before dropping game two 8-6 and the series finale 8-4.

“When you’re in the backyard, at least the neighborhood I grew up in, it was still kind of the everybody meets out on the street, and you play a bunch of games,” Tennessee coach Tony Vitello said. “Whenever I lost, maybe my dad did it to me. I was kind of a little punk, but I always wanted to, let’s run it back. Let’s redo it. … It’s a blessing to be playing, and this team has been confident going on the road, but at the very least they get a chance to redo the thing.”

No. 14 overall seed Tennessee is back in the super regionals for the fifth straight season after winning the Knoxville Regional. The regional went seven games with the Vols knocking off Wake Forest 11-5 in game seven on Monday night.

No. 3 overall seed Arkansas swept through the Fayetteville Regional with a win over North Dakota State and two wins over Creighton.

The reigning national champion Vols are looking to make it back to the College World Series for the third straight season and the fourth time in the last five series. Arkansas is looking to get back to the College World Series for the first time since 2022 and the 11th time in program history as they chase the first national championship in program history.

Tennessee enters super regional weekend with a 46-17 (16-14 SEC) record while Arkansas enters with a 46-13 (20-10 SEC) record.

For as good as Tennessee baseball has been under Tony Vitello, the Vols have struggled against Arkansas. The Vols have not won a series against Arkansas since 2005 and haven’t won a series in Fayetteville since 2001. Vitello is just 3-12 against his former school since becoming Tennessee’s head coach.
