Well, it looks like we’re doing this again.
For a second straight year, Tennessee Football’s Neyland Stadium is once again criminally underranked in EA Sports’ College Football video game franchise.
According to EA Sports on Tuesday, Neyland Stadium is ranked as the 12th toughest place to play in the upcoming video game.
That puts Neyland Stadium behind, in order, LSU, Penn State, Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Oklahoma, Oregon, Michigan, and Texas A&M.
Tennessee doesn’t appear to be stressed about it, though. The Vols’ social media team used the opportunity to have a little fun with the rankings, putting out a Neyland Stadium hype video on social media on Tuesday afternoon.
“Send this to someone who needs to know,” Tennessee wrote in its Instagram post, along with a yawning emoji.

From a sheer numbers perspective, Tennessee sold out all 101,915 seats for every home game last season. It’s hard to believe that an average sellout of 101,000+ fans for every home game doesn’t make it one of the loudest environments in college football and at least worthy of a Top 10 spot, but here we are.
It is a small jump up from last year’s game, though, which was the first return of the highly anticipated video game franchise. Tennessee was ranked 13th last year and only moved up because Wisconsin and Florida State dropped out of their Top 9 spots.
At least they aren’t undervaluing Tennessee star cornerback and projected first-round draft pick Jermod McCoy. The Vols’ rising junior currently has a 94 overall rating, which makes him tied for the eighth-best player in the entire video game.

EA Sports College Football 26 is scheduled to release on July 10, 2025, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
