As Tennessee football’s 2026 class comes into form, the Vols are also getting positive news on the recruiting trail for 2027.

On Friday, Tennessee was named one of the top 10 schools for interior offensive lineman Jatori Williams. UT was listed alongside Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Alabama, Florida State, Florida and Mississippi State.

Williams plays for Central in Phenix City, Alabama, as he enters his junior season. According to 247, he is considered a four-star prospect and No. 73 overall recruit in the country. He is the No. 4 interior lineman and No. 4 player from the state, as well.

The only school in his top 10 that he has already visited, according to 247, is Florida State.

Williams picked up his Tennessee offer this past February. In this time, he’s been forming a connection with the coaching staff. This is what has put the Vols inside his recent cut.

“What stood out about Tennessee is the relationship I’m building with the coaching staff,” Williams told Rocky Top Insider.

This past season, as a sophomore, Williams helped lead Central to a 10-3 record and 5-2 mark inside 7A Region 2 play. They made a run to the championship game, but were defeated by Thompson just short of a title.

As Williams goes through this offseason, he has his eyes set on getting back to that point, but this time winning.

“What I’m hoping to accomplish about this upcoming season is a state championship,” Williams told RTI.

Tennessee currently holds one commitment in the 2027 class. Legacy prospect JP Peace, a three-star linebacker, committed on June 16 to get the cycle started.

In the 2026 class, the Vols have already landed three commitments for the offensive line. Five-star tackle Gabriel Osenda headlines the class as the No. 19 player in the country on 247. On Friday, Tennessee also added four-star tackle J.B. Shabazz, earning the commitment over South Carolina and Ohio State. The only interior addition to this point is three-star Edward Baker.
