Welcome back, SEC Shorts.

The hit college football comedy series returned to the internet for the first time since late January on Monday morning, signaling that the 2025 college football season and all the chaos it will inevitably bring is just right around the corner.

While we don’t have a time machine to see what the upcoming season holds, SEC Shorts does. The latest short from the team on Monday showed a University of Georgia assistant going back in time to ask former students to donate to an NIL fund.

There may have even been a shot fired at the Nico Iamaleava transfer situation, too. When the Georgia student shows his excitement to have a player for four years after donating, the time-traveling assistant relays the reality of the situation.

“Eh, 60/40,” the assistant said in response. “60 percent chance he stays, 40 percent chance he hits the portal or his agent/dad blackmails you for more money two years later.”

With SEC Media Days in the rearview mirror, we’re only a short time away from the start of fall training camps around the country. Stay tuned to Rocky Top Insider for more news, notes, and coverage as the season draws near.
