Tennessee basketball is yet to land a commitment in the 2026 class, but the Vols are in great standing for a number of highly-touted recruits.
This includes Bo Ogden, a small forward out of Austin, Texas. The 6-foot-5, 180-pound wing narrowed his list down to just six schools on Thursday. He’ll choose between the Vols, Gonzaga, Purdue, Texas, Kansas and Virginia, according to Joe Tipton.
Ogden ranks as the No. 45 recruit in the country, according to Rivals Industry Rankings. He is the No. 17 small forward and No. 5 recruit out of Texas.
This wouldn’t be the first time UT has landed a player out of Westlake High School. Tennessee currently rosters Gavin Paull, a walk-on guard entering his second year with the program. He was a four-year varsity letter winner who helped the team reach a 127-17 overall record and four-straight district titles during his prep career.
The high school has produced a number of extremely successful athletes. This includes NFL quarterbacks Drew Brees, Sam Ehlinger and Nick Foles, Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik, NFL All-Pro kicker Justin Tucker, former MLB All-Star pitcher Huston Street, NCAA swimming champion Lia Thomas and NCAA basketball champion Matthew Mayer.

His father, Chris Ogden, was a former player at Texas. He is also a current Longhorns assistant coach for the men’s basketball program. From 2018-21, he was the head coach of UT Arlington.
Tennessee offered Ogden on July 21, 2024. In the year since, the Vols have put themselves in position to close the deal, although Texas has the clear advantage due to family ties.
Tennessee hasn’t been able to get Ogden to campus yet, but there is a good chance it’ll be able to bring him in for a visit before he pulls the trigger on a commitment.
