Four-star point guard Anthony Brown released his top 10 including Tennessee basketball on Friday afternoon. The Vols joined a group that includes Central Florida, Maryland, Memphis, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, VCU and Villanova.

Brown ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 146 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-1 guard also ranks as the No. 14 point guard and the top player in the District of Columbia in the 2026 recruiting cycle.

While Tennessee is in Brown’s top 10, the prospect is further down the Vols; recruiting boars at this time. Brown has scheduled official visits to seven of his top schools but Tennessee is not one of them. Memphis and VCU are the other schools in his top group that he has not scheduled an official visit with.

Tennessee has scheduled official visits with a pair of blue-chip point guards in the 2026 recruiting cycle. Four-star point guard Miles Sadler will officially visit Tennessee in late August while five-star point guard Deron Rippey Jr. is officially visiting Tennessee in late October.

The Vols hosted three-star point guard Sam Simmons Jr on a visit back in June but he was further down their recruiting board and committed to Richmond earlier this week.

Rick Barnes and his staff also hosted four-star wing Gage Mayfield on an official visit back in June and have an official visit scheduled with four-star wing Bryson Howard for the same weekend in October that Rippey is officially visiting.

Tennessee also have interest in LaTrell Almond, Emmanuel Green and other blue-chip prospects but we’ll see if they get them on campus and become serious players in their recruitments.
