Tennessee is busy on the gridiron this weekend as it wraps up the first official week of the fall camp slate.
With just 28 days until the start of the regular season, the Vols are hard at work. Tennessee had a practice on Saturday morning and will hold another one on Sunday before getting the second week started.
While there’s plenty of excitement in the air for the season, there’s also excitement around Tennessee’s linebacker room heading into the season. It features returning starters Arion Carter and Jeremiah Telander, budding star Edwin Spillman, and some high-level freshmen such as Jadon Perlotte and Jaedon Harmon.
Tennessee linebacker coach William Inge spoke to the media for about 10 minutes on Saturday morning as he broke down some key storylines about his group. Inge talked about the rising new players, the experience discrepancy in the room, Carter and Telander’s leadership, and his pitch on the recruiting trail.
The Vols also had four defensive players spend a few moments with the media on Saturday, including LB Edwin Spillman, LB Jordan Burns, DL Tyree Weathersby, and DL Josh Schell. Each talked about where they currently are in terms of the fall camp slate as well as specific position thoughts.
