Tennessee running backs coach De’Rail Sims met with the media after the Vols’ 10th fall camp practice on a rainy Tuesday morning in Knoxville. The Vols have been working hard throughout the summer and will continue working through their second fall camp scrimmage coming up this weekend.

Sims’ interview with the media on Tuesday lasted just over eight minutes as he broke down several topics about his room. He talked about the mindset of rotating running backs and what could cause a specific guy to get the hot hand, the “complete back” nature of Star Thomas, the growth of freshman Daune Morris, the depth in the room, and much more.

After Sims’ press conference was over, Tennessee had two running backs spend a few minutes with the media. UT sophomore Peyton Lewis and senior transfer Star Thomas each talked about their work through fall camp this month, their thoughts on the guys in the room, individual skillsets, and much more.
