After losing out on the initial battle for his commitment, Tennessee football has flipped an in-state, four-star offensive line recruit. Kamari Blair, who committed to South Carolina on July 16, has flipped to the Vols on Thursday morning.

Blair is out of Clarksville, Tennessee. He initially picked the Gamecocks over UT and Ole Miss. Prior to whittling the list down to three, he also considered Florida State, Kentucky and Wisconsin. According to Rivals industry rankings, he is No. 274 recruit in the country, No. 22 offensive tackle and No. 7 player out of the state.

Blair was in Knoxville for his official visit on June 20. This was his final trip after a stretch of seeing his finalists. He got to Ole Miss on June 13 and South Carolina just before that on June 6. He also visited Wisconsin on May 30.

This wasn’t his first time being on UT’s campus, either. He was also in town on May 24 after picking up his offer on May 13. He took a visit last season on November 23 as Tennessee defeated UTEP.

Tennessee holds 23 commitments in the 2026 class now that Blair is in the boat. Prior to the announcement, the Vols held the No. 11 class in the cycle, according to 247.

Blair will join a group of highly-touted offensive linemen, as well. The cream of the crop is five-star tackle Gabriel Osenda, who is also an in-state recruit. Tennessee holds commitments from four-star tackle JB Shabazz and three-star interior lineman Edward Baker, too.

The Vols are also in the mix for five-star Darius Gray, who will come off the board this Friday. However, this flip from Blair could be an indication that Tennessee is not the pick for Gray. His race is seemingly coming down to LSU and South Carolina, instead.

Along with Osenda, UT holds the commitments from five-stars in quarterback Faizon Brandon and athlete Salesi Moa. Tennessee lost the fight to Michigan for running back Savion Hiter, but is still pushing to flip LSU wide receiver commit Tristen Keys.
