High school football began in the state of Tennessee this week with Friday night lights returning a week before Vol football begins their 2025 campaign. But numerous Tennessee commits began their high school senior seasons on Friday night including a pair of local standouts who shined in season-opening victories.
Knoxville Catholic’s Tyreek King and Greeneville’s Zay Anderson each turned in strong performances. Anderson’s stat line was simple. He caught two passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns as the Green Devils routed Morristown West 35-0.
