No. 24 Tennessee is off to a 1-0 start after defeating Syracuse by a score of 45-26 in the Aflac Kickoff Game on Saturday afternoon in Atlanta, GA. Newly acquired quarterback Joey Aguilar threw for 247 yards and three touchdowns while defensive back Colton Hood added a touchdown of his own with a scoop-and-score in the first half.
There’s plenty to break down from this game, from the performance of Aguilar, the Vols’ impressive running back trio, and the offensive line, to the defense having to deal with a handful of injuries that popped up throughout the game.
