Tennessee football made easy work of ETSU Saturday afternoon, annihilating its instate foe ETSU 72-17 in its 2025 home opener at Neyland Stadium.

The Vols jumped out to a 24-0 lead in the first quarter and ETSU didn’t record a first down until its sixth drive of the game. Tennessee scored six first half touchdowns while scoring on eight of its first 10 drives.

Joey Aguilar had a strong second showing, completing 23-of-31 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns including a 53-yard bomb to Mike Matthews. Both Matthews and Chris Brazzell totaled 100-plus yards while Brazzell caught a pair of touchdowns.

Following the game, RTI’s Ric Butler and Ryan Schumpert broke down Aguilar’s strong performance, right tackle David Sanders missing his second straight game and much more. Check out the RTI reaction show here.
