As far as Checker Neyland games go, Tennessee wore its all-orange uniforms for the first one under Josh Heupel against Ole Miss in 2021. The Volunteers have then gone with the orange-and-white threads for every Checker Neyland game since, including Florida in 2022, Texas A&M in 2023, and Florida in 2024.
No. 15 Tennessee will host No. 6 Georgia in both teams’ SEC opener on Saturday afternoon in Knoxville. The Volunteers and Bulldogs are both 2-0 heading into the game, but neither team has faced competition on the same level as what they see this weekend.
Tennessee is currently a point underdog heading into the marquee Week 3 matchup.
In addition to the Checker Neyland environment for the game, Tennessee will host ESPN’s College GameDay at Ayers Hall to kick things off on Saturday morning. The Volunteers will also be honoring “Big” John Henderson for his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame during the game on Saturday.
Here’s a look at which uniforms Tennessee has rolled out so far this season:
- Week 1 (vs Syracuse in Atlanta): Orange-and-White
- Week 2 (vs ETSU in Knoxville): Orange-and-White
- Week 3 (vs Georgia in Knoxville): Orange-and-White
