No. 15 Tennessee fell to No. 6 Georgia by a score of 44-41 in overtime on Saturday night in Knoxville. The Vols jumped out to a 21-7 lead in the first quarter, but the Bulldogs went on a 20-0 run through the second and third to take the lead. Tennessee and Georgia traded blows throughout the fourth quarter, but it was the visiting team that was able to find the critical touchdowns late in the fourth and in overtime to pick up the win.
Tennessee quarterback Joey Aguilar threw for 371 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions, while wide receiver Chris Brazzell put up a career-high 177 receiving yards with a pair of touchdowns.
After the game, Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel met with the media for about eight minutes to discuss his reaction and takeaways from the game. Tennessee also had two groups of players speak to the media, with the first rotation involving Chris Brazzell, Braylon Staley, and Dominic Bailey, while the second had Joey Aguilar and Caleb Herring.
