Tennessee football fell short of grabbing a win on the field in its game against Georgia on Saturday. However, despite the shortcoming, it may still translate to some wins on the recruiting trail going forward. Particularly on the offensive side of the ball, UT’s production may have caught some eyes.

In the game, Tennessee put up 496 yards of offense, including a strong attack through the air. Joey Aguilar threw for 371 yards on 24-of-36 passing with four touchdowns and two interceptions. The strongest connection was with outside receiver Chris Brazzell. He grabbed six passes for 177 yards and a trio of scores.

Wide receivers coach Kelsey Pope can already see the impact that a big performance from one of his players in a big game can have.

“It’s awesome. I think it just helps the buy-in,” Pope said. “They’ve seen it. They’ve seen the results. They’ve heard what you’ve said already. That’s gotten to this point. That gets them to the game. I think once they see those results, they’re bought in. We had a couple of conversations this weekend already with some guys that we’re in a really good spot with. I think this game is going to help us get over the hump down the road. So I think as much as you can show those guys that the things that you’re telling them, that you’re preaching, that it’s real, it helps some buy in. And that’s the name of recruiting.”

Tennessee had a star-studded visitor list at wide receiver in town, as well. In the 2026 class, the Vols welcomed back five-star commits Tristen Keys and Salesi Moa along with four-stars Tyreek King and Legend Bey.

In the 2027 class, UT is continuing to make a push for Oregon commit and top-50 receiver Kesean Bowman. Tennessee has seemingly made a strong impression so far with him as it hunts for a flip.

Other prospects on campus included top-50, four-star receivers in the 2027 class, Dakota Guerrant and Lawrence Britt.
