Since Tennessee football brought in linebacker coach William Inge, the recruiting at the position has been nothing short of elite. In his first full year, Inge brought in four-stars Jadon Perlotte and Jaedon Harmon and three-star Brenden Anes. In the 2026 class, he owns commitments from top-five linebackers Brayden Rouse and TJ White and three-star Braylon Outlaw.
Now, he’s turning his attention to the class of 2027. After already landing legacy recruit JP Peace, the son of Robert Peace and grandson of Phillip Fulmer, he’s landed inside the top schools list for a five-star at the position, as well. Kaden Henderson placed Tennessee within his top 12, alongside Ohio State, Miami, Notre Dame, Clemson, Alabama, Texas A&M, Florida State, Florida, LSU, Oregon and USC, according to Rivals.
Henderson is a five-star prospect and the No. 33 overall recruit in the class, the No. 2 linebacker and the No. 4 player out of Florida, according to 247composite rankings. He is from Tampa, Florida, where he plays for Jesuit.
More From RTI: How Tennessee Football’s Loss to Georgia Could Help the Vols’ Recruiting Efforts
Tennessee has been in the mix for Henderson for quite some time. According to the 247 timeline, the Vols were the fifth team to offer him back on May 13, 2024. UT joined Florida State, USF, SMU and Toledo, along with Georgia Tech extending an offer on the same day. The only remaining school alongside Tennessee on that list is FSU.
Henderson has visited Florida State more than any other program, but he has gotten a chance to see Knoxville. He took an unofficial visit during the spring, getting to UT on May 31, 2025. In this calendar year, he’s also seen FSU multiple times, Miami, Florida, Clemson and LSU.
While Henderson doesn’t seem to have another visit to Tennessee in the books just yet, it wouldn’t be surprising if Inge and the Vols’ staff were able to get him on campus for a game day experience. While there’s still a long way to go in his recruitment, an early offer and being featured in his latest cut are good signs.
