No. 15 Tennessee will face its first true road test this season when the Volunteers travel to Starkville to take on Mississippi State on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs are 4-0 on the season with a few expected wins, but they delivered a statement victory over then-No. 12 Arizona State in the second game of the season. That win has helped fuel Mississippi State into an early formidable test for Josh Heupel’s Tennessee squad.
Ahead of the game on Saturday, Tennessee continued some media rounds on Tuesday morning in Knoxville. Defensive line coach Rodney Garner and tight ends coach Alec Abeln both spoke to the media on Tuesday as they gave updates to their position groups and gave some initial thoughts on the upcoming opponent this weekend.
Tennessee also had a trio of players speak on Tuesday, including wide receiver Chris Brazzell, wide receiver Braylon Staley, and defensive lineman Tyree Weathersby.
