A pair of Tennessee basketball targets are announcing their college commitments early this week. Four-star wing Bo Ogden and four-star wing Ralph Scott both are announcing their commitments Tuesday. Scott is announcing his commitment on the CBS Sports College Basketball YouTube at 3:30 p.m. ET while the time is uncertain for Ogden’s commitment.

Both Scott and Ogden officially visited Tennessee basketball in recent weeks and are ironically extremely close to one another in the 247sports composite rankings.

Ogden ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 36 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. He also ranks as the No. 16 small forward in the 2026 cycle. Scott ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 37 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-7 wing also ranks as the No. 17 small forward in his class.

The 6-foot-5 Ogden is down to a top three that includes Purdue, Tennessee and Texas. He’s making his decision coming off visits to Tennessee and Texas the last two weeks.

Ogden’s father, Chris, is currently the General Manager at Texas basketball and played for the Longhorns when Rick Barnes was head coach. Chris Ogden was on staff at Tennessee for a year under Barnes— who Bo told RTI he views as a grandfather figure.

The ties between Ogden and Tennessee gives the Vols a fighting shot to pull off the upset. But Texas appears tough to beat ahead of his decision. Not only do the family ties point to Texas, Ogden announcing his commitment so shortly after his official visit with the Longhorns doesn’t seem to bode well.

Scott is down to a top group that includes Houston, Purdue, Tennessee and Texas A&M. The 6-foot-7 wing took official visits to all four schools over the last few months including an official visit to Tennessee the weekend that the Vols hosted Georgia in football.

Houston and Tennessee are the top contenders to land Scott’s services. While it’s far from a lock that the blue-chip wing ends up in Knoxville, there’s more reason for optimism that Tennessee can land Scott compared to Ogden.

Tennessee is still looking for its first commitment in its 2026 recruiting class. The Vols have also hosted five-star point guard Miles Sadler and four-star power forward Latrell Allmond on visits this fall. Tennessee also has official visits scheduled with five-star point guard Deron Rippey Jr, five-star wing Bryson Howard, five-star forward Christian Collins Jr, four-star wing Bo Ogden, four-star wing Manny Green, four-star shooting guard Jasiah Jervis and four-star power forward Cody Peck for later this fall.
