Tennessee Basketball’s 2026 class is officially off and running. Rick Barnes landed a commitment from four-star wing Ralph Scott on Tuesday afternoon, beating out major contenders such as Houston, Purdue, and Texas A&M for the blue-chip prospect.

Scott is a baller on the court. According to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings, the 6-foot-8 prospect is ranked as the No. 38 player in the class, the No. 18 small forward in the nation, and the No. 7 player from the state of Florida. He currently plays at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL.

The first thing that stands out about Scott is the combination of athleticism and size that he has. Scott has a 7-foot-3 wingspan and can pair that with freaky athleticism on the court. He’s got a high ceiling on both ends of the court and projects to develop into a skilled ballplayer under Barnes’ coaching staff in Knoxville.

According to RTI’s Ryan Schumpert, Scott “has a strong jump shot and was one of the highest risers in the 2026 class on the summer AAU circuit after playing with Jamal Shead Elite on the adidas AAU circuit.”

Scott is one of the more exciting players in the 2026 class and gives Tennessee and Barnes a great starting point for the recruiting cycle.
