Four-star wing Manny Green is down to a top five and will announce his college commitment on Friday, 247sports Dushawn London first reported and Green confirmed to RTI.

Green is deciding between a top group that includes Auburn, Cal, Georgia Tech, South Florida and Tennessee. The blue-chip recruit is announcing his commitment at 5 p.m. ET Friday on the CBS Sports College Basketball YouTube page.

An Atlanta native, Green ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 101 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. 247sports own rankings are higher on Green, tabbing him as the No. 91 overall player in the 2026 class and the No. 4 player in the state of Georgia.

Recruiting services rank the 6-foot-6, 205-pound Green as a power forward but Rick Barnes and his staff view Green more as a true wing. Tennessee sits in a good spot ahead of Green’s announcement.

Green was originally scheduled to officially visit Tennessee this coming weekend but ended up visiting two weekends ago when Vol football traveled on the road to face Mississippi State. The four-star recruit has officially visited all of his finalists besides Auburn.

The blue-chip recruit is a standout at Cedar Grove High School in Ellenwood, Georgia where he helped lead the Saints to a 28-4 record and a region championship in his junior season.

Tennessee basketball landed its first commitment in its 2026 recruiting class last week when four-star wing Ralph Scott committed to the Vols over Houston, Purdue and Texas A&M. The 6-foot-8 wing ranks as the No. 38 player in the 2026 recruiting cycle.

Despite having already landed another wing in the 2026 cycle, Tennessee sits in a good spot ahead of Green’s announcement Friday.

The Vols have hosted a number of other uncommitted prospects on visits so far this fall including five-star point guard Miles Sadler and four-star power forward Latrell Allmond. Tennessee also has official visits scheduled with five-star point guard Deron Rippey Jr, five-star power forward Christian Collins, four-star shooting guard Jasiah Jervis and four-star power forward Cody Peck.

Tennessee’s 2026 recruiting class now ranks at No. 34 nationally and No. 8 in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings.
