Tennessee Football will return to its traditional uniform roots this Saturday when the Volunteers are back in action against the Arkansas Razorbacks from Neyland Stadium.

According to a social media post on Thursday, Tennessee will wear its classic orange-and-white home uniforms for its game against the Razorbacks. The Vols’ look will consist of white helmets, orange jerseys, white pants, white cleats, and white accessories.

This will be the fourth time that we’ve seen the Vols wear their traditional threads in the first six games of the season. Tennessee hasn’t strayed away from it too much. The team broke out the alternate all-orange uniforms for its Week 4 game against UAB in Knoxville, and then wore the same thing on the road the next week at Mississippi State. With the Bulldogs opting for a unique white-out setting for their home game against the Vols, Tennessee chose to bring its signature shade of orange to Davis Wade Stadium in the form of all-orange uniforms.

Now, with last weekend’s open date in the rearview mirror, Tennessee will play the classics in its return to the field against the Razorbacks.

Here’s a look at what Tennessee’s uniform combinations have looked like so far this season:

  • Week 1 (vs Syracuse in Atlanta): Orange-and-White
  • Week 2 (vs ETSU in Knoxville): Orange-and-White
  • Week 3 (vs Georgia in Knoxville): Orange-and-White
  • Week 4 (vs UAB in Knoxville): All-Orange
  • Week 5 (at Mississippi State in Starkville): All-Orange
  • Week 6 (BYE)
  • Week 7 (vs Arkansas in Knoxville): Orange-and-White

Arkansas has not revealed its uniforms yet, but the team has worn all-white threads for its two recent road games against Ole Miss and Memphis. The only difference between the two sets was that the Razorbacks wore red helmets against the Rebels and white helmets against the Tigers.

No. 12 Tennessee will host Arkansas at 4:15 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon in Neyland Stadium. The Volunteers and Razorbacks are both coming off open dates, meaning the squads should be well rested for the game this weekend. Arkansas interim head coach Bobby Petrino will lead the Razorbacks into battle on Saturday after the program fired former coach Sam Pittman following a beatdown at the hands of Notre Dame two weeks ago. Petrino quickly began reworking the defensive side of the coaching staff as he looks to shake things up for his first game as the head coach.

Tennessee is the heavy favorite heading into the game this weekend. The Vols are currently a point favorite over the Razorbacks. ESPN’s Football Power Index gives Tennessee an 82.6% chance to defend its home field over its SEC foe this weekend.
