Four-star wing Manny Green committed to Tennessee basketball Friday evening over a top group including Auburn, Cal, Georgia Tech and South Florida. An Atlanta native, Green becomes the second commit in Tennessee basketball’s 2026 recruiting class.
Green ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 101 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. 247sports own rankings are higher on Green, tabbing him as the No. 91 overall player in the 2026 class and the No. 4 player in the state of Georgia.
Recruiting services rank the 6-foot-6, 205-pound Green as a power forward but Rick Barnes and his staff view Green more as a true wing. Green is a defensive first perimeter player who has a knack for defending opposing players and taking them out of the game. His offensive game is still a bit raw but he’s able to handle the basketball and is a solid perimeter shooter.
Green officially visited Tennessee basketball in late September as one of three fall official visits. He also took visits to Cal and South Florida. He also had visits originally scheduled to Auburn and Georgia Tech but neither ended up happening, making the Golden Bears and Bulls the top competition.
The blue-chip recruit is a standout at Cedar Grove High School in Ellenwood, Georgia where he helped lead the Saints to a 28-4 record and a region championship in his junior season.
More From RTI: Four-Star Combo Guard LJ Smith Unofficially Visiting Tennessee Basketball This Weekend
Tennessee hosted five-star point guard Miles Sadler on an official visit earlier this fall and is hosting five-star point guard Deron Rippey Jr on a visit later this month. That duo is Tennessee’s top point guard targets.
Five-star power forward Christian Charles is visiting later this month as is four-star shooting guard Jasiah Jervis. Four-star power forward Latrell Allmond visited Tennessee last month and is announcing his college decision Monday. However, Maryland and Oklahoma State appear better positioned to land the forward than Tennessee.
Green’s commitment boosts Tennessee’s recruiting class from No. 34 to No. 13 nationally and No. 9 to No. 5 in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings.
