I Simulated Tennessee at Alabama on the College Football 26 Video Game

We’re just days from Tennessee football and Alabama meeting on the gridiron for the Vols’ second true road game of the year. Ahead of the real-life meeting, I fired up the College Football 26 video game to simulate the matchup in Tuscaloosa.

The result was a lopsided win for Alabama at home. We’ll see how accurate the video game version is when UT meets the Tide on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET in Bryant-Denny Stadium. The game will air on ABC.

Here are the full results and stats of the simulation:

I was asked about the settings I use for the simulations. My game is on Heisman difficulty with 15-minute quarters, no accelerated clock and even teams ‘off’. I put the correct team at home and match the time of the game up to the best choice possible. I don’t control either team, bench players we know will be inactive and then let it play out once and the results are as follows.

  1. If video games were really accurate when a person does that then in college Georgia and Alabama would be playing each other in the National Championship game every year. I have done what you did for a whole season a few times that was always the result. Video games aren’t truly like real life and don’t see why people think it is. Alabama might beat Tennessee but wont be by 38 when Tennessee almost beat Georgia.
