No. 11 Tennessee fell to No. 6 Alabama by a score of 37-20 on Saturday night in Bryant-Denny Stadium. With the loss, the Vols move to 5-2 on the season with a 2-2 record in SEC play.
The Volunteers were consistently hurt by self-inflicted wounds on Saturday night. From mental penalties to physical issues, Tennessee routinely got itself behind the eight-ball without being able to play complementary football.
Tennessee will have a chance to bounce back against another SEC rival next weekend. The Vols will stay on the road, traveling north to Lexington, KY, to take on the Kentucky Wildcats. Mark Stoops’ squad is coming off an overtime loss against No. 21 Texas at home on Saturday.

Here’s a look at some of the reactions on social media after the game:
All week on .@3HL1045 we said the motto for this game was, “KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID.” It’s one thing you can not do and that’s turn it over. Bad call, HORRIFIC execution!!! That was bad and Bama capitalized with a Heavy lineup on the field smh. #3rdSaturdayInOctober pic.twitter.com/tTTo6VhI0J

I just find it so interesting that the SEC HQ is in Birmingham and Auburn and Tennessee get hosed by officials more than any other teams in this league

Tennessee’s worst offensive possessions always happen after the defense does something good.
This team just doesn’t play good complementary football.

Being a Tennessee fan is a government psyop to see how much pain one person can endure, I’m convinced

The “Josh Heupel sucks” hot takes are unbearable. Tennessee is one play at the end of the half away from having a chance to win. Credit Bama. Better team tonight. But some of y’all need your head examined along with a history lesson.

Think you’re a bit mixed up here.
Alabama and Tennessee don’t square off until January 24th in Tuscaloosa.

One Response
It’s time for the Josh heiple era to be over he has done so much when you go down and score three straight times against Georgia then quit what you’re doing that’s coaching he’s a good coach but he will never win Tennessee and national championship bring in somebody like Dan lanning that is a true winner
