Tennessee football’s hunt for its first win in Tuscaloosa since 2003 will have to continue. The Vols dropped their road clash at Alabama 37-20 on Saturday night to drop to 5-2 (2-2 SEC) on the season.
After the game, Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer and quarterback Ty Simpson met with the media to field questions on the game. They were asked about smoking cigars, the play of Simpson, the rivalry aspect and more.
DeBoer now moves to 1-1 against Tennessee in his coaching career. The Vols defeated Alabama in Knoxville a year ago, but they defended their home field behind a strong game from Simpson this time. The quarterback completed 19-of-29 passes for 253 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.
