Tennessee Football will play its second straight SEC road game this Saturday night against Kentucky, keeping its uniform look the same in the process.
According to a social media post, Tennessee will wear its all-white set against the Wildcats under the lights. The Vols will also have white cleats, a white helmet, white accessories, and black gloves. This is the second time that we’ve seen the all-white look in action, following last weekend’s game against Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Tennessee wore its all-orange home uniforms in the road opener against Mississippi State during a white-out in September.

Here’s a look at what combinations the Vols have used this season:
- Week 1 (vs Syracuse in Atlanta): Orange-and-White
- Week 2 (vs ETSU in Knoxville): Orange-and-White
- Week 3 (vs Georgia in Knoxville): Orange-and-White
- Week 4 (vs UAB in Knoxville): All-Orange
- Week 5 (at Mississippi State in Starkville): All-Orange
- Week 6 (BYE)
- Week 7 (vs Arkansas in Knoxville): Orange-and-White
- Week 8 (at Alabama in Tuscaloosa): All-White
- Week 9 (at Kentucky in Lexington): All-White
With the orange helmets seemingly dead and buried after their one appearance during the 2022 season, Tennessee is expected to break out three more unseen uniform combinations in the final stretch of the season. The Vols have not worn their all-black Dark Mode uniforms yet, which could come as early as next week against Oklahoma, and the new Volunteer Spirit Smokey Grey uniforms have already been announced for the Nov. 15 game against New Mexico State in Knoxville. Considering the Florida game is the final true road trip of the year, we could see Tennessee’s white jersey and orange pants combination be rolled out then.
Tennessee is looking to bounce back after a three-score loss to Alabama on the road last weekend. Kentucky is winless in the SEC this season, but some of the losses have been fairly close. The Wildcats fell to Ole Miss 30-23 at home early in the season and lost to Texas by a field goal in overtime last weekend in Lexington. But while the home games have been close, the road games have not. Kentucky was blown out at South Carolina, 35-13, and lost 35-14 on the road at Georgia the following game.
Tennessee is currently a point favorite over Kentucky this Saturday night. ESPN Analytics has Tennessee at a 75% chance to pick up a win on the road.
