How Tennessee Football Rotated on the Offensive Line in Win at Kentucky

As Tennessee football head coach Josh Heupel said he would on Monday leading into the game, the Vols rotated up front on the offensive line against Kentucky. With freshman right tackle David Sanders Jr. back from injury after missing the front part of the year, it has led to a shuffle across the line.

In the 56-34 win over the Wildcats in Lexington, UT continued to rotate, but debuted a new starting lineup. Sanders was finally inserted into the starting lineup at right tackle, joined by left tackle Lance Heard, left guard Wendell Moe Jr., center Sam Pendleton and right guard Jesse Perry.

This is a difference from the old starting unit that saw Moe on the other side at right guard, Perry out at right tackle instead of guard and Sham Umarov at left guard.

However, Umarov and William Satterwhite still got in the game. Here’s the full split and what you need to know.
