Aguilar finished the Kentucky game with 396 passing yards and three passing touchdowns on 20-of-26 passing. His monster game on the road also bolstered his lead in multiple SEC passing categories through the first nine weeks of the season.

Aguilar leads the SEC with 2,344 passing yards, extending his lead over Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson with 2,184 yards. He also leads the SEC in average yards per attempt (9.3) and average yards per game (293). Aguilar’s 18 total passing touchdowns are tied with Arkansas QB Taylen Green for second in the SEC behind Ty Simpson’s 20 total.

The 396-yard game also extends one of Joey Aguilar’s more impressive career streaks. Dating back to the 2023 season at App State, Aguilar has now thrown for 200+ yards in 32 straight games. His 396-yard game is a season-best at Tennessee, topping the 371-yard showing against Georgia earlier in the season.

“Our main focus this week was to nearly be perfect,” Aguilar said after the UK game. “I mean, we would never be perfect, but we could be pretty close. We went out there, had a great week of preparation, executed, did what we had to do and controlled what we could control.”
