WATCH: Lady Vols Basketball Coach Kim Caldwell, Players React to 100-Point Win

It doesn’t count, but the Lady Vols basketball team is off to a great start in the 2025-26 season. In the exhibition against Division II Columbus State, Tennessee won 148-48 behind efficient shooting and disruptive defense. Afterward, Lady Vols head coach Kim Caldwell and players Janiah Barker and Mia Pauldo met with the media for a press conference to discuss what transpired in Knoxville.

She was asked about standout freshmen, Mia Pauldo and Jaida Civil, dominant transfer Janiah Barker, expectations, what needs to be improved and more.

The No. 8 Lady Vols will get the season officially underway on Nov. 4 in Greensboro when they face No. 9 NC State for one of the most-anticipated season openers across the country. The home debut for Tennessee against ETSU on Nov. 7.
